Ohio State is down to three true scholarship guards for its 2024-25 season.
With a season-ending knee injury to Taison Chatman, incoming freshman Juni Mobley is currently the only true guard left to back up Bruce Thornton and Meechie Johnson Jr.
Ohio State will have other options to handle the ball and pass in the form of wings Micah Parrish and Evan Mahaffey, but the team's backcourt depth is now in a precarious position. A scholarship remains if the Buckeyes wish to address that concern in the transfer portal, but a lack of high-end players available and the original intention to use that spot on frontcourt depth could complicate matters.
Eleven Warriors' Dan Hope and Andy Anders discuss those topics and the overall impact of Chatman's injury in the latest episode of Press Coverage, which you can view at the top of the page.
