Ohio State basketball is hard at work preparing for its first season under Jake Diebler even though it won't tip off its first contest until November.

There are a load of new faces to get ingrained in the system and develop chemistry, including transfers Meechie Johnson Jr., Aaron Bradshaw, Sean Stewart and Micah Parrish. They join freshmen Juni Mobley and Colin White as players getting acclimated to Columbus this summer.

Johnson did not participate in the workout but stood off to the side and helped lead and coach up his teammates. A spokesperson for the Buckeyes said it's more a case of load management than anything else. Sophomore guard Taison Chatman is expected to miss the season after tearing his ACL.

"It's been great," Diebler said of how summer workouts have gone so far. "We haven't been as healthy as I'd have preferred. We've had a couple of nagging injuries, and the summer is certainly a time – we've had guys who wanted to push through some things – but we've tried to be conservative."

The Buckeyes opened up their Tuesday practice to the media and Eleven Warriors was there to compile some highlights both of the team's drills and Diebler's high-energy coaching, which you can view in the video at the top of the page.
