Cupps played sparingly during his two seasons at Indiana, appearing in 37 games. As a freshman, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard averaged 2.6 points per game on 36.4 percent shooting, adding 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. He missed most of the 2024-25 season due to a torn meniscus; if he is granted a medical redshirt, he would still have three years of collegiate eligibility.
Indiana G Gabe Cupps will enter the transfer portal, per multiple reports.

A Dayton native, Centerville High School graduate and Ohio's Mr. Basketball in 2022, Cupps was the No. 94 overall prospect and No. 3 player from Ohio in the 2023 class, checking in behind Devin Royal (Ohio State) and Dailyn Swain (Xavier). With Cupps committed to Ohio State, he and Royal can recruit Swain to join them in Columbus, as Swain entered the transfer portal on Monday following two seasons with the Muskateers.
