Battle played at Penn State from 2007 through 2011 before a seven-year professional career overseas with clubs based in France, Germany, Sicily, Belgium, Israel, Hungary and Slovenia.
Following his playing career, Battle embarked on his coaching journey in 2020 as an assistant with the Nittany Lions before landing at Northwestern the following year. There, he helped the Wildcats to their second and third NCAA Tournament berths in school history in 2023 and 2024.
Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler hired him from there last year as part of his first Buckeye coaching staff. Diebler will now have to fill Battle's slot on his bench while still working Ohio State's top targets in the transfer portal this offseason as the Buckeyes seek their first NCAA Tournament in four years next campaign.
