Welcome to The Hurry-Up, which runs Sunday through Thursday, serving as your last stop for recruiting news and notes nightly. We'll recap the day as it happened and preview the days ahead while keeping our ear to the ground on the Ohio State recruiting scene.

WEEK IN REVIEW

Here's a look back at a few of the items we talked about this week on Eleven Warriors.

BURROW ALL BUCKEYE

After last week's hiring of former Nebraska assistant Tim Beck, there were a number of questions surrounding Ohio State commitment and Athens, Ohio star Joe Burrow. The drumbeats were loud and persistent: Burrow and Beck did not see eye-to-eye and the Cornhusker legacy was willing — after nearly seven months of being committed to the Buckeyes — to entertain other offers. On Thursday night, Burrow, Urban Meyer and Beck got together and had a discussion about the future of Ohio State's offense and Burrow's place in it. Despite overtures from Nebraska, Oklahoma — and yes, Michigan — Burrow says there's no doubt about where he'll be.

"Let's just say 'I'm going to Ohio State,'" Burrow said. "No hesitations, no questions. I just want signing day to get here already. (The meeting) went really well, I was very happy with it."

With Burrow now fully committed — again — the Buckeyes already-crowded quarterback room for 2015 and beyond gets even more talented.

GIBSON UPDATES HARD TO COME BY

The other Buckeye commitment at quarterback, Fort Lauderdale's Torrance Gibson, was on his official visit to Auburn this weekend and right now, he's not talking much about the visit. He is purposely laying low, Tweeting only three times during the weekend and doing his best to respect the Buckeyes while making sure of his choice.

Gibson has avoided talking much publicly since his decision to visit Auburn and LSU was announced, but sources close to Ohio State indicate that confidence is still high in Columbus. Auburn and LSU, according to people close to the recruitment, are back up plans in case something goes awry with his status with the Buckeyes, but at this point no one is expecting anything like that. Ohio State's quarterback situation has not been a concern for Gibson, but that's certainly the angle all recent suitors will take, trying to convince the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder that his path to playing time will be easier outside of Columbus.

Of course, they're willfully neglecting that Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones and JT Barrett could all conceivably leave for the NFL after next season, as they should do. Sell your program, ignore the opportunities elsewhere; that's recruiting. Expect Gibson to talk fondly of Auburn, expect him to do the same about LSU after next week, then expect him to sign with the Buckeyes because that's where his relationships have always been.

DECOMMITMENT SEASON

There are less than three weeks until signing day, and with that proximity to life-changing decisions comes second, third and in some cases, fourth, thoughts. Players who have been solidly committed to schools for months are getting closer to signing their names on the dotted lines and with that pending finality comes an undeniable need to "measure twice, cut once."

If you're new to following recruiting, all this flipping and flopping and second-guessing may have you wondering why in the heck anyone should care about a commitment or a visit, etc. The facts are often confused by random internet conjecturing, flat-out guessing and often times intentionally drummed-up rumor-mongering. The bottom line? Relax, people. Ohio State currently has commitments from a number of the country's best players, and if they lose Weber or Gibson (which at this point no one at Ohio State expects to happen) they'll be just fine without them.

We are less than six days removed from Ohio State winning their eighth national championship and the future of Buckeye football is loaded with talent and more importantly great kids. One commitment, one decommitment, one player who's never taken a snap at the collegiate level isn't going to change that. Enjoy what we're seeing on and off the field and let the kids who are being recruited enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by supporting them regardless.

There's nothing but baseless speculation out there about Weber, Gibson and others and none of it is coming from the player or from the Buckeyes. R-E-L-A-X.

WADE PLEDGE MORE FIRM THAN EXPECTED?

When 2017 four-star cornerback Shaun Wade committed to Ohio State last Monday, the immediate reaction from most around the country was that "Well, he's good but no way he stays committed to the Buckeyes until signing day 2017." While that line of thinking is smart — two years is a long time for a kid from Florida — his father spoke plainly of why his son picked Ohio State and it should ease some concerns that a decision was made on a thoughtless whim. After all, other standouts from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville had committed their schools even earlier than their sophomore seasons.

"Our coaches told us it was the perfect time to commit based on past commitments like Kevin Toliver and others," Randy Wade, the father of Shaun, told Eleven Warriors. "We think Ohio is a perfect fit for us! We know about (Urban Meyer) through some friends of ours that knew him when he was at Florida. I personally think an early commitment gives the school and family the soonest possibility to truly get to know each other and become family before we send our son to his new extended family for four years."

Mr. Wade did say that the early choice has been met with some resistance in Florida, as is expected.

"There's no love down here," Wade continued. "What we do know is Ohio State is a top five program in football of all college football. They have one of the best coaches and the student athlete graduation percentage is good. So the only true unknown is how much they wanted Shaun in their program, once we found that out everything else was perfect."

WHAT THE HILL

Back in October, Arkansas commitment KJ Hill was scheduled to make an official visit to Columbus, and that didn't happen. The Little Rock wide receiver, a participant at Nike's The Opening, re-opened his recruitment today after making an official visit to Alabama this weekend.

Spelling mistakes aside, Hill's decommitment is very interesting, but perhaps more interesting is the news that he could make an official visit to Columbus this coming weekend. Of course, Hill planned on a Buckeye visit before, so we'll hold off on getting too excited about this purported trip until it actually happens. Until then, rejoice that Bert lost a big one, won't you?
