Alabama received a commitment on Tuesday morning from four-star offensive tackle Jedrick Wills. The pledge pushes the Crimson Tide ahead of Ohio State for the top 2017 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.
The Crimson Tide, who have finished with the nation's No. 1 class for six-consecutive years, now hold commitments from 22 recruits, including a handful of five-star recruits and 11 four-star recruits.
Ohio State, meanwhile, matches Alabama in total number of four- and five-star recruits, but only has 17 total commits in the Class of 2017.
The Buckeyes remain very much in the hunt for five-star cornerback Jeffrey Okudah, five-star linebacker Baron Browning, four-star safety Bubba Bolden, four-star defensive tackle Jay Tufele and four-star wide receiver Jaylen Harris, among others, so the rankings will certainly be fluid through National Signing Day in February.
