The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.

THE ANSWER

Mount Holly, New Jersey, Rancocas Valley Regional four-star athlete Iverson Clement announced on Twitter Monday evening he has received a scholarship offer from Ohio State.

“It means a lot,” Clement told Eleven Warriors. “I've been a fan of the Buckeyes since I was 7 years old. Now that they offer me years later, it's just amazing … I've been waiting for this offer for a very long time [and] now that it's happened, it's still shocking.”

The 6-foot, 190-pounder is considered the eighth-best prospect in the state and the No. 21 athlete overall in the Class of 2018. He currently holds 11 offers from programs such as Florida, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

It won't take long for Clement to see his favorite team, either, as he'll take an unofficial visit to Columbus this weekend.

“Saturday is going to be even more amazing,” Clement said. “I'm looking forward to that Big Ten crowd to go nuts and Ohio State play big. [It will] probably be the best game I'm ever going to watch.”

ASCENDING TOWARD COLUMBUS

The visitor list for Saturday's Top 5 matchup with Michigan continues to grow, as Bradenton, Florida, IMG Academy four-star cornerback Houston Griffith announced he will accompany teammates Isaiah Pryor and Marcus Williamson on the sidelines prior to the game.

“[I'm] looking forward to the game day atmosphere, but it's also my mom's first time at Ohio State,” Griffith told Eleven Warriors.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Griffith — son of former Illinois legend and current Big Ten Network analyst Howard Griffith — has never been on campus for a game, only for an unofficial visit in March. He earned an offer from the Buckeyes during a satellite camp in Detroit over the summer.

Griffith is considered the seventh-best cornerback and the No. 42 prospect overall in the Class of 2018. He currently holds 23 offers from programs such as Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Tennessee, but said Ohio State is one of his top schools.

“I can tell I'm a priority,” Griffin said. “I talk to coach [Kerry] Coombs, coach [Greg] Schiano and coach Meyer.”

Griffith, who is originally from Chicago, Illinois, but transferred to IMG this summer, has had discussions about playing with the aforementioned Ohio State commits at the next level, too.

“We had a lot of fun playing together this season, and we've talked about playing together in the near future,” Griffith said.

HOOAH

Jacksonville, Florida, Trinity Christian five-star cornerback Shaun Wade was presented his jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Game during a ceremony at his high school on Monday afternoon.

“I'm a good Christian, a man of God. I just want to stay humble and stay successful in life,” Wade told USA TODAY Sports. “I just want to get better and hit the weight room. We have two more games to states [and I'm] focused on that with my brothers and my squad.”

The game — which will take place on Jan. 7, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas — has taken on extra meaning for the 6-foot-1, 177-pound Ohio State commit, as he will make his final college decision public that afternoon.

Wade, the fourth-best cornerback and the No. 21 prospect overall in the Class of 2017, will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend. The Crimson Tide have long been considered the only legitimate threat to flip Wade from his pledge.

Bellflower, California, St. John Bosco five-star offensive guard Wyatt Davis, meanwhile, will suit up for the West squad at the high school all-star exhibition.

“It's been a big deal every since I got into high school football,” Davis told USA TODAY Sports. “Being able to meet my goal of playing in it is a great experience.”

He thanked his father, Duane — known for his role as Alvin Mack in the 1993 movie, “The Program” — for instilling in him a strong work ethic.

“I'm very grateful for what he's taught me,” Davis said. “He's been a huge part of my football career. He's someone who's going to tell me how to play the game, so I can look at it from his perspective.”

Wade and Davis will be joined by several fellow commits in San Antonio, including Las Vegas, Nevada, Bishop Gorman quarterback Tate Martell, wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey and defensive tackle Haskell Garrett; La Grange, Texas, running back J.K. Dobbins; Hyattsville, Maryland, DeMatha defensive end Chase Young; and Miamisburg offensive tackle Josh Myers.
