The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.
CROSSING THE BORDER
Linebacker Tyler Carter is the lone Michigander scheduled to be in attendance for Ohio State's game against the Wolverines on Saturday.
"I'm very excited," Carter told Eleven Warriors. "I know it's a big rivalry [and] I'm just looking forward to seeing the big time players like [Ohio State quarterback] J.T. Barrett and [Michigan linebacker] Jabrill Peppers. I also want to feel the atmosphere at Ohio State."
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder junior from Romulus doesn't hold any offers, but schools like Central Michigan, Grand Valley State, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State have started to show interest.
"[The staff] said they'd love to see me," Carter said.
DMV ELITE
North Stafford, Virginia, four-star running back Devyn Ford will also be in attendance on Saturday.
“[I'm looking forward to] a great game and seeing the facilities,” Ford told Eleven Warriors.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder is considered the top player in the commonwealth and the No. 12 prospect overall in the Class of 2019. He currently holds 22 offers from programs such as Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
"I get Ohio State's videos and stuff about the school and campus over Twitter,” Ford said.
He'll be joined by teammate Nana Asiedu, the 11th-best offensive tackle overall in the Class of 2018.
PACKAGE DEAL?
Fairfield four-star defensive end Malik Vann has been to several games this season with teammate Jackson Carman, but this will mark his first Michigan game.
"I'm excited for the game itself,” Vann told Eleven Warriors. “Growing up a Buckeye fan and now seeing Ohio State and That Team Up North on the big stage will be great.”
The 6-foot-2, 243-pounder is considered the 10th-best defensive end and the No. 13 player in Ohio from the Class of 2018. He currently holds 17 offers from programs such as Kentucky, Louisville, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pittsburgh and Tennessee, but is hoping Ohio State follows suit sooner rather than later.
“[It would mean] a whole lot, growing up a fan and being in my home state,” Vann said.
Despite not yet having an offer from his dream school, Vann has decided to announce his commitment on June 26, 2017.
“The date just stuck to me,” Vann said. “It's right before my brother's birthday and it's right before we hit the true grind of the season.”
OVERSEAS RECRUITING
Ohio State hosted an intriguing prospect this week in Vienna, Austria, four-star defensive tackle Maxi Hradecny.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pounder has stopped by Maryland, Ohio State, Temple and Villanova this week, and will visit Albany, Florida State, Indiana, Massachusetts, Miami, Michigan, Penn State and Purdue in the near further. The trip was arranged by Europe's Elite, an organization that hopes to showcase the continent's best football players.
"[I was] playing professionally in Europe and got heavily involved with coaching and development of youth players throughout Europe," Europe's Elite co-founder Evan Harrington told Eleven Warriors. "We begin to notice some younger kids that had serious potential and cold possible play college football. We didn't know how to grab the attention of the coaches from the states because it’s very rare that a coach comes to Europe to recruit players. So we said, 'Hey, let’s bring the kids to the coach’s front door to show them we are serious.'"
Europe's Elite has already found success, as Belgium-born Tibo Debaillie earned three scholarship offers and recently committed to Towson University.
"Our No. 1 goal is to get as many kid’s opportunities to play college football [though] that seems like a farfetched dream for most European players," Harrington said. "The success in such a short period of time is great but we know we still have a lot of work to do. This is just the beginning for Europe’s Elite."
