The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.
THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER
Fans anxious for a #BOOM from Massillon Washington four-star offensive tackle Thayer Munford will apparently have to wait until National Signing Day.
This is not the end. It is the beginning of the new journey. I'll see y'all in February. #0Dark30

For those not up-to-date with #teen lingo, the hashtag “Zero Dark Thirty” means Munford will go Twitter silent until the turn of the month. That means we'll find out whether or not he was extended an offer from Ohio State during a ceremony at his high school.
Stay tuned!
ERASE HIM FROM THE BOARD
Ohio State has been scouring the country looking for one more wide receiver to add to the current recruiting class, and it didn't have to look far to find Fort Lauderdale, Florida, St. Thomas Aquinas three-star Josh Palmer. He seemed to have a leg up on the competition, too, as the teammate of five-star commit Trevon Grimes.
Palmer ended any chance of a reunion on Tuesday evening, though, when he committed to Tennessee.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Palmer was a long-time Syracuse commit, but reopened his recruitment a few weeks back. He caught the staff's eye after hauling in a team-high 472 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as the Raiders' go-to receiver this season.
Palmer hadn't yet received an offer from Ohio State, but one may have come during an official visit this weekend. Of course a possible visit is now off.
RELATIONSHIPS ARE KEY
Ohio State will hold its Junior Day this Saturday, Jan. 28, and we'll have full rundown of all those expected in attendance later in the week. Among them, Columbus St. Francis De Sales linebacker Brian Asamoah.
“I'm looking forward to it,” Asamoah told Eleven Warriors. “I'm so excited to visit.”
The 6-foot, 205-pound Asamoah holds 11 offers from programs such as Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh and UCLA, and hopes Ohio State soon follows. He formed a great relationship with former defensive coordinator Luke Fickell — a De Sales graduate — but said his departure doesn't impact his thoughts on the Buckeyes.
“I was a little concerned at first, but coach Meyer filled that role with coach [Bill] Davis, and he's made it a seamless transition in building our relationship,” Asamoah said. “I trust coach Meyer and his system. Coach Davis wouldn't have gotten the position if they didn't believe he could do the job. I'm excited for what's ahead, and I'm looking forward to a bright future.”
PEACH STATE PIPELINE
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and defensive backs coach Kerry Coombs were in Georgia on Monday afternoon, at which time they extended an offer to Greater Atlana Christian School freshman offensive tackle Myles Hinton.

Despite playing only one year at the varsity level, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Hinton already holds offers from Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State and Virginia Tech. Hinton is the son of former NFL first round draft pick Chris Hinton, who is best known as the guy traded for John Elway.
NEXT WALK-ON STAR?
Grove City weak-side defensive end Zach Waddle recently announced on Twitter he has received a preferred walk-on offer from Ohio State.

The 6-foot-5, 212-pounder is not ranked by any major recruiting sites, but holds scholarship offers from small-time programs like Cornell, Davidson, Limestone College, Lake Erie College and Urbana. He recorded 35 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and one sack for the Greyhounds this season.
