The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.
MUHAMMAD PREVIEWS SATURDAY'S VISIT
This coming weekend is certainly shaping up to be one of the most important recruiting weekends in quite some time at Ohio State. While the list of visitors continues to grow, the Buckeyes' coaching staff will have plenty of chances to impress some of the country's top talents.
Myers Park (Charlotte, N.C.) wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad III is certainly among that group. Muhammad, a 6-foot, 180-pound receiver in the class of 2020, announced his visit to Columbus via Twitter on Monday evening. He knows what he'll be looking for.
"Building the strongest part of the relationship, which takes face-to-face [communication] while meeting the staff in person," Muhammad told Eleven Warriors. "I want Ohio State to feel like home."
Muhammad is considered a four-star prospect and North Carolina's sixth-best overall. So far, Ohio State hasn't offered but he does have offers from Indiana, Michigan State, N.C. State, Nebraska and Purdue, among others.
He said his initial interest in the program came from talking with Ohio State assistant coach Keenan Bailey.
"It was mainly talking to [Bailey] and realizing that he is one hell of a guy," Muhammad said. "I also enjoy the speed of the offense and how they air the ball out to their play-makers."
Muhammad says his best skills are his vision and his ability to catch the ball, alongside his blocking. He's been in contact with Brian Hartline and Mark Pantoni as well. Muhammad's father Muhsin II — a former NFL receiver — was born in Lansing, Mich. and attended Michigan State. The Spartans appear to be the early leader in Muhammad's recruitment process.
BUCKEYES OFFER MALIQ CARR
Oak Park (Mich.) quarterback Dwan Mathis committed to Ohio State on June 24, becoming an official member of the '19 Dynasty recruiting class. Now, the Buckeyes are after one of Mathis' top receivers ... 2020 prospect Maliq Carr.

Carr is a three-star wideout that's considered Michigan's 25th-best overall prospect. Standing at 6-foot-6, 195 pounds, Carr also has offers from Boston College, Iowa, Kentucky and Nebraska, among many others.
From the Detroit Free Press:
Larry Johnson, Ohio State assistant head coach and defensive line coach, called Carr with the offer.
“I was surprised when Coach Johnson called me," Carr said. “I’m going to the Michigan-Ohio State game and I thought they might make the offer then. I don’t really have a dream scenario or school, but I’m happy about the offer.
"I really haven’t talked to Dwan about going to OSU. It’s a great school and a top 10 program. Right now, we’re just focused on the playoffs."
Though its early, Ohio State doesn't have a receiver commit in its 2020 recruiting class. Carr, who at one point this season was averaging over 43 yards per catch, would be a nice addition.
NATION'S TOP RECEIVER VISITING COLUMBUS
Just last week, Brian Hartline was in Pennsylvania visiting the nation's top receiver in the class of 2020. This Saturday, Julian Fleming (Catawissa, Pa.) will be making a trip to Ohio Stadium.
Fleming, out of Southern Columbia High School, is a five-star talent that's considered the nation's best receiver and ninth-best overall prospect in his class. He has nearly 30 offers from programs around the country including the likes of Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, Penn State and USC.
In mid-June, Fleming made his first visit to Columbus with his grandfather. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wideout confirmed that he'll be back with his teammates this weekend. On July 4, Fleming announced his top six college choices and included the Buckeyes.
Thursday, he released this past season's highlight video. It's well worth the watch.
