A four-star wideout from the class of 2024 will be making his first trip to Columbus this weekend.
California wide receiver Ryan Pellum told Eleven Warriors he will visit Ohio State on Saturday.
“I want to see the city, campus and facilities,” Pellum said.
Pellum has been on Ohio State’s radar since the Rose Bowl, as OSU offered him on Dec. 27 while the Buckeyes were in California in the days leading up to their epic New Year’s Day victory over Utah. OSU arranged for him to attending that practice by texting Pellum’s brother the evening before and encouraging both of them to attend the Buckeyes’ practice the next day. While watching the practice, Pellum’s brother was told by Ryan Day the Buckeyes were going to offer him a scholarship. The Long Beach, California, resident was overjoyed.
“It felt really good when my brother announced it to me,” Pellum told Eleven Warriors in December.

Pellum is ranked as the 36th-best prospect and the sixth-best wide receiver in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect currently has 40 Division I offers, a list that includes Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.
In eight games for Millikan High School (Long Beach, California) last season, the sophomore wideout caught 42 passes for 721 yards with 10 touchdowns. Pellum also scored a rushing touchdown and finished with 35 rushing yards on 13 carries this season.
Keon Keeley to visit Tuesday
Ohio State is taking a key step toward trying to flip a five-star edge rusher from Notre Dame.
Although he is committed to the Fighting Irish, Florida defensive end Keon Keeley will visit Columbus with his family on Tuesday, according to 247Sports. Keeley was offered by Ohio State on Dec. 1 by Tony Alford, who handles a good portion of Florida recruiting for the Buckeyes.
“It's definitely an amazing program so what's not to be excited about,” Keeley told 247Sports regarding his upcoming OSU visit.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Keeley is ranked as the 10th-best prospect nationally and the top-rated edge rusher and has been committed to Notre Dame since June. He attends Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Florida, the alma mater of recent Ohio State offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere.
LeBlanc favors Florida
A popular Ohio State defensive lineman target from last summer is now favoring Florida.
Four-star Florida defensive lineman Derrick LeBlanc told 247Sports on Wednesday the Gators are the current leader in his recruitment.
"Florida is in the lead for me!" LeBlanc told 247Sports. "Love them the most!"
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound LeBlanc visited Florida on Thursday and does not currently have a visit to OSU scheduled, though he put the Buckeyes on his top seven in December. Last summer, LeBlanc visited Columbus three separate times, but did not return to campus for a game visit last fall.

LeBlanc is ranked as the 87th-best prospect and the 11th-best defensive lineman in the 2023 class. He has set a commitment date for July 23, a ceremony where he will announce his college decision alongside fellow Florida residents and OSU targets Payton Kirkland and Malik Bryant.
Iamaleava leaves Buckeyes off top five
A five-star quarterback with an Ohio State offer is seemingly headed elsewhere.
California signal caller Nicholaus Iamaleava dropped his top five list on Wednesday and cut his recruitment down to Georgia, Oregon, Alabama, Tennessee and Miami.

Iamaleava is ranked as the seventh-best prospect and the fourth-best quarterback in the 2023 class. With Iamaleava likely headed elsewhere, the other uncommitted quarterbacks in the 2023 class with Ohio State offers are Dylan Lonergan, Dante Moore and Christopher Vizzina, who just received his offer from the Buckeyes last week. Ohio State would like to take one quarterback in the cycle.
