Four-star 2024 Georgia linebacker Myles Graham had high expectations heading into his Ohio State visit last weekend.

After departing Columbus, Graham said his time spent at OSU exceeded his standards.

“Ohio State is definitely a special place,” Graham told Eleven Warriors. “The coaching staff, the fan base, the alumni, everything, it’s all top-notch.”

Graham was in attendance for Ohio State’s spring game, and was impressed that more than 60,000 fans showed up in scarlet and gray.

“It was amazing,” Graham said. “It was one of the best-attended spring games across the country, the fans were loud and the team was looking sharp. It was a great game.”

While on his visit, Graham spoke with Ryan Day, Jim Knowles and the entire defensive coaching staff. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Graham first met Day in January when he received his offer from OSU, and he appreciated speaking with the Buckeyes’ head coach again.

“It was amazing,” Graham said of his conversation with Day. “We kind of talked about where he sees the program going and how he cares for his players on and off the field. It was good talking to him.”

While meeting with Knowles, Graham said the defensive coordinator told Graham he fits best as an inside linebacker in OSU’s scheme.

“We mostly talked about where I fit playing in the defense,” Graham said. “I feel great about it, I feel like that’s my most natural position and where I make the most plays. He’s used the scheme for years and has had one of the top defenses in the nation year after year.”

With his visit to Ohio State in the books, the Buckeyes certainly made quite the impression on Graham.

“They’re definitely at the top of my list,” Graham said. “They’re going to be in my top schools for a while.”

Outside of his visit, Graham said he’s heard mostly from OSU senior advisor and analyst Matt Guerrieri in his recruitment. Graham said he plans on taking another visit to Columbus this summer to participate in a camp.

OSU coaches hit the road

With spring practices now over, Ohio State coaches have turned their attention to getting back on the recruiting trail and hitting the road as part of the spring evaluation period, which will run until May 31. Most of the OSU coaching staff stayed in the state of Ohio on Thursday.

Offensive line coach Justin Frye made the trek to Findlay to check in on 2023 four-star offensive tackle commit Luke Montgomery, while quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis stopped in at Findlay to speak with 2025 quarterback Ryan Montgomery

Cornerbacks coach Tim Walton stopped at Taft High School in Cincinnati to see 2024 four-star defensive end Elias Rudolph

Per 247Sports, Jim Knowles visited four-star 2024 cornerback Bryce West and 2023 three-star linebacker Arvell Reese at Glenville High School while also checking in on 2023 three-star defensive tackle commit Will Smith at Dublin Coffman.

Frye also checked in on Ohio State four-star offensive lineman commitment Joshua Padilla at Wayne and four-star 2023 offensive lineman target Austin Siereveld at Lakota East. Siereveld just visited Ohio State last weekend and is expected to visit Notre Dame this week.

Perry Eliano stopped at Lakota West to visit with recent 2023 four-star safety commit Malik Hartford.

Muhammad leaves OSU off top 6

A 2023 cornerback with an Ohio State offer is heading in a different direction. Four-star Texas prospect Malik Muhammad released his top six Wednesday that consists of Florida, Texas A&M, Michigan, Texas, Alabama and Miami, leaving Ohio State off his final cut.

OSU has one cornerback committed to the 2023 class in four-star Florida cornerback Dijon Johnson. The Buckeyes would like to sign at least two and possibly three cornerbacks in the cycle. Other options for the Buckeyes include Kayin Lee, Daniel Harris, Christian Gray, Sharif Denson, Ethan Nation, Cormani McClain and AJ Harris
