Ohio State conquers Chicago with a 31-7 beatdown of Northwestern at Wrigley Field.
One of Ohio State’s top quarterback priorities, Ohio prospect Ryan Montgomery, in the 2025 class will be making a spring visit to Columbus.
Per Ryan’s father, Mike Montgomery, the Ohio signal caller plans on visiting Columbus for the Buckeyes’ spring game on April 15. Montgomery also plans on visiting Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida this spring.
Montgomery is one of two quarterbacks Ohio State has offered in the 2025 class, with five-star signal caller Bryce Underwood being the other. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect visited Columbus twice last fall, attending both the Notre Dame and Michigan games.
“Despite the loss, I enjoyed the visit and the hostile environment in The Shoe for the game,” Montgomery said after the Michigan visit. “I got to talk a little bit with coach Corey Dennis before the game. I also got to be right next to the quarterbacks during their pregame drills. Every time I visit OSU I feel more and more of a priority for them. I’m looking forward to growing my relationship with them.”
Jonah Williams picks up Ohio State offer
Ohio State has offered another safety in the 2025 class. Safeties coach Perry Eliano extended an offer to Texas prospect Jonah Williams Wednesday, making him the third safety offered in the 2025 cycle.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound playmaker plays both sides of the ball for Ball High School (Galveston, Texas), also lining up as a wide receiver. Ohio State is primarily interested in his talents on the defensive side of the ball, though, as Ball recorded 59 tackles (3 for loss) with four interceptions, two pass deflections and a forced fumble in 11 games last season. Offensively, he caught five passes for 183 yards and five touchdowns. He was also the team’s primary punt returner, amassing 306 return yards.
Williams does not hold a composite ranking from 247Sports as of yet and has 10 Division I offers. Those offers include Arizona, Colorado State, Houston, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech and the University of Texas San Antonio.
Michael Fasusi adds offer from Buckeyes
Williams wasn’t the only Texas product to pick up an Ohio State offer recently, as offensive tackle Michael Fasusi picked up an offer from offensive line coach Justin Frye on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle doesn’t hold a composite ranking and owns 15 Division I offers, including BYU, Duke, Florida State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Penn State, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Utah.
Fasusi helped lead Lewisville High School (Lewisville, Texas) to a 12-2 record last season, primarily serving as the team’s right tackle.
Kamarion Franklin to visit Ohio State on April 14
A five-star defensive end in the 2024 class sets his eyes on a spring visit to Ohio State. Per SBLiveSports, Mississippi prospect Kamarion Franklin will trek to Columbus on April 14. Franklin also plans to visit other schools, including Florida State, Auburn, South Carolina, Miami, Texas A&M and Oregon.
Franklin has only recently been offered by Ohio State, with Larry Johnson offering Franklin on Feb. 8.
“It was a blessing to me,” Franklin told Eleven Warriors of getting the offer from Ohio State. “I’ve always admired players like Chase Young and the Bosa brothers that have played there. Coach Johnson has put a lot of players in the NFL, so him giving me the opportunity to be a Buckeye meant a lot. The tradition with their defensive ends, they’re known for that. To potentially continue that would be cool.”
While Ohio State has only recently entered the mix for Franklin, the Buckeyes will have a long time to build a relationship with him, as he doesn’t plan on committing until the Early Signing Period in December.
