Ohio State is one day away from finding out if it will land its top remaining quarterback target in the 2024 class.

Four-star Georgia quarterback Air Noland will announce his decision at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on 247Sports, choosing from a final seven of Ohio State, Texas A&M, Miami, Arkansas, Clemson, Oregon and Alabama.

Noland, considered the 84th-best prospect and the eighth-ranked quarterback in 2024 per 247Sports’ composite rankings, visited OSU last weekend and picked up his long-awaited offer from the Buckeyes. The offer was more or less a formality, though, as he and OSU’s coaching staff have been in daily communication for months.

Leading up to his commitment, sources close to the program are optimistic Noland will pick the scarlet and gray Saturday. Texas A&M and Miami are seen as the two biggest threats to OSU.

Throughout the week, Ohio State’s commits have been doing their part on social media to sway Noland to choose OSU.

Noah Mikhail picks up OSU offer

Ohio State has entered the race for one of the top-rated linebackers in the 2025 class. The Buckeyes offered five-star California linebacker Noah Mikhail Thursday after the 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect visited Columbus.

Mikhail is considered the 28th-best prospect and the third-ranked linebacker in the 2025 class. He’s racked up 30 Division I offers thus far, including Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Boise State, Boston College, Colorado, Colorado State, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, UNLV, USC and Washington.

In 10 games last season for Bonita High School (La Verne, California), Mikhail racked up 112 tackles (13 for loss), three sacks, one quarterback hurry, four pass deflections and three forced fumbles.

Daverin “Deuce” Geralds receives Buckeyes offer

Mikhail wasn’t the only prospect picking up an OSU offer after visiting this week, as 2026 defensive lineman Daverin “Deuce” Geralds received a Buckeyes offer on Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 239-pound defensive lineman holds 18 Division I offers, including Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Michigan, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

In his freshman season at Collins Hill High School (Suwanee, Georgia), Geralds recorded 66 tackles (17.5 for loss), 10.5 sacks, 15 QB hurries, two pass deflections, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

Kobe Black puts OSU in top 11

An Ohio State cornerback target has narrowed down his recruitment. Five-star 2024 Texas prospect Kobe Black released a top 11 list on Wednesday consisting of Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, USC, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, TCU and Florida.

Black was offered by OSU in January and took his first visit to Columbus on March 25 for a spring practice. By all accounts, the visit to OSU was a successful one for Black, who is considering taking an official visit to Columbus later this summer.

Tank Booker to make his decision Wednesday

Noland isn’t the only OSU target with a decision approaching in the near future. On Wednesday, the Buckeyes will also find out if they’ve secured some depth at defensive tackle for their current roster by adding Maryland transfer Tank Booker.

Booker, who visited OSU on March 21, released a top five on Friday consisting of Purdue, South Carolina, Ohio State, Arkansas and Texas A&M. Going off the graphic, he’s really leaning into the “Tank” nickname.

Booker is from Cincinnati and played high school football at Winton Woods, the same school current Buckeyes Miyan Williams and Jermaine Mathews attended. He completed his redshirt junior year at Maryland last season with 25 total tackles (4 for loss) with a pass deflection, two forced fumbles and two sacks. He announced his departure from Maryland on March 6.

Booker visited all of the schools in his top-five list, so there’s no clear favorite going into decision day.
