Woodyard has been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since Jan. 7. Still, the 6-foot-2, 188-pound St. John Bosco (Bellflower, California) product will now make his second trip to Columbus since his commitment to Georgia, with the other coming on April 12. He also took a visit to Alabama in the spring.
Woodyard is considered the No. 61 prospect and the No. 4 safety in the 2024 class, per 247Sports' composite rankings. The upcoming official visit to Ohio State will be his fifth trip to Columbus as a recruit.
The California prospect picked up his Ohio State offer in June 2021 after impressing the Buckeyes at a recruiting camp. Overall, he has earned more than 30 Division I offers in his recruitment out of high school.
“I am honored that OSU has given me the opportunity to potentially be a part of their family, it is absolutely humbling,” Woodyard told Eleven Warriors after he received his offer.
In Woodyard's junior season, he recorded 54 tackles, including two tackles for loss.
