Ohio State offered two new prospects on Wednesday, one from each of the 2025 and 2026 cycles.

We’ll delve into each player below.

Joshua Blackston

Justin Frye has added another offensive lineman to his 2025 board in Maryland prospect Joshua Blackston.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Blackston doesn’t hold a 247Sports composite ranking as of yet, but has earned 11 Division I offers, including Virginia Tech, Maryland, Charlotte, Boston College, Liberty, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, James Madison and Rutgers.

Blackston helped lead Paul Laurence Dunbar High School (Baltimore, Maryland) to an 11-0 record last season, primarily lining up at right tackle in his junior season.

Shadarius Toodle

OSU linebacker coach James Laurinaitis extended an offer to a promising prospect in the 2026 class Wednesday, offering Alabama standout Shadarius Toodle.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Toodle doesn’t have a composite ranking yet, but has picked up 13 Division I offers, including Auburn, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Memphis, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Washington and Western Kentucky.

In 10 games in his sophomore year, Toodle recorded 103 tackles, 10 sacks and four fumble recoveries.

Taz Williams sets official visit for Ohio State May 31-June 2

An Ohio State wide receiver target in the 2025 class has locked in an official visit to Columbus. Four-star Texas prospect Taz Williams announced he’ll take his official to OSU beginning May 31 and running through June 2.

Williams released a top 10 last month that included Ohio State along with Alabama, Texas, Michigan, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor, SMU and Penn State.

The 5-foot-11, 181-pound wideout will make a spring visit to OSU before his official visit, as he’s scheduled to be on campus April 8 for a spring practice.

Williams recorded 80 catches for 1,251 yards with 14 touchdowns in his junior season at Red Oak High School (Red Oak, Texas). He was offered by the Buckeyes last April following a campus visit.

“It felt great because Ohio State has always been one of my favorite schools since I was younger, so it felt great to achieve my goal of receiving an offer from Ohio State,” Williams told Eleven Warriors of his offer last year.

Bryce Perry-Wright schedules trip for Buckeyes’ spring game

A five-star defensive end in the 2026 class has set a spring visit to Ohio State. Georgia prospect Bryce Perry-Wright is expected to be one of the many prospects on hand for the Buckeyes’ spring game on April 13.

Perry-Wright is also slated to visit Alabama, Clemson, Auburn, Texas A&M, Texas and USC this spring. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound defensive lineman is the former high school teammate of Ohio State defensive end Eddrick Houston at Buford High School (Buford, Georgia). Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Perry-Wright is considered the 28th-best prospect and the fifth-rated defensive lineman in the 2026 cycle.

In Perry-Wright’s sophomore season, he racked up 51 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 13 quarterback hurries and a blocked field goal.

Jordon Davison to visit OSU March 27, eyes summer commitment

One of Ohio State’s top running back targets in the 2025 class will be back on campus later this month. Five-star tailback Jordon Davison has set a spring visit to OSU for March 27 and will also visit Alabama this spring, the California prospect told 247Sports

“I really like Ohio State a lot,” Davison told 247Sports. “This will be my third visit I think but I really like how they play and run the football. They’re losing a couple running backs after this season so I think the opportunity to step in and play early is a big plus there.”

Davison said he expects to take official visits to OSU, Alabama, Texas and Oregon this summer. He expects to commit sometime this summer, likely after his official visits.
