While Dakorien Moore may be committed to LSU, his recruitment is far from over.

The five-star prospect, rated as the No. 1 wideout in the 2025 recruiting cycle, told 247Sports he’s narrowed his recruitment to four schools and has shut down communication with all others: Ohio State, LSU, Oregon and Texas.

Moore, who committed to LSU last August, is expected to visit Columbus this weekend. He visited Baton Rouge last week and will visit Texas next month.

One of Ohio State’s five-star cornerback commits has been the strongest peer recruiter to help the Buckeyes land a fellow Texan.

"Devin (Sanchez) is coming on strong,” Moore told 247Sports. “As soon as he committed, he's been trying to flip me. I'd definitely like to play with him. Ohio State is coming on strong. I feel like they know what they are doing just talking with them."

In Moore’s junior season, he hauled in 71 passes for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Tory Blaylock puts Buckeyes in top 6

An Ohio State running back target has narrowed down his recruitment. Four-star 2025 prospect Tory Blaylock released a top six on Saturday consisting of Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma.

Blaylock, considered the 219th-rated prospect and the 17th-best running back in the 2025 cycle per 247Sports’ composite rankings, visited Ohio State last summer and has developed a strong relationship with running backs coach Tony Alford.

“We have a pretty good relationship,” Blaylock said of Alford last summer. “He's always pushing me to be better,” Blaylock said. “(It started) when I came to camp for the first time going into my ninth grade year, I think. Since then, it's been really good.

"(He’s) just teaching me the blocking schemes, how to run outside zone, how to run inside zone, just basic football stuff. He really furthered my knowledge on how to run the plays. A lot of coaches, they know the game. But he really, really knows the game, man. I feel like he's a step further than a lot of coaches.”

Ohio State seemingly has a bit more momentum with a few other running backs in the 2025 class currently, such as Marquise Davis and Jordon Davison, but things can always change with a future visit.

Micah DeBose includes Ohio State in his top 10

One of Ohio State’s top offensive tackle targets in the 2025 class has announced 10 finalists. Four-star Alabama prospect Micah DeBose announced a top 10 of Ohio State, LSU, Florida State, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and USC.

While DeBose is considering 10 schools, he’s publicly mentioned that Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, Alabama and FSU are the ones likely to get official visits. DeBose has visited Columbus several times in his recruitment and a strong contingent of the Buckeyes’ coaching staff came to visit the 6-foot-5, 315-pound prospect in January.

“I don’t really look at a school for the name or what they have done,” DeBose told Eleven Warriors in November. “I want to go to a school that can develop me as a player and a person and be surrounded by people who actually care about me and don’t see me as just another NFL guy or a guy that comes to play on the team. I want to be seen as a person on campus, not just a football player.”

Tyler Atkinson will visit Ohio State on March 19

Five-star Georgia linebacker Tyler Atkinson was the first player Ohio State offered in the 2026 class, with the offer coming at the end of his eighth-grade school year. Atkinson now plans on making his second visit to campus since his offer, with the 6-foot-2, 205-pound product expected to take a trip to Columbus on March 19.

Other schools Atkinson will visit this spring include Clemson, UGA, Auburn, Texas A&M, Alabama and Texas. Atkinson is considered the 11th-best prospect and the No. 2 linebacker in the 2026 class.

In June 2022, Atkinson told Eleven Warriors that he was thrilled to receive an offer from the Buckeyes.

“It felt amazing,” Atkinson said. “It was very exciting because I never knew they would offer an eighth-grader. And so for me to be one of the eighth-graders they offered was a very good experience.”

Jared Curtis schedules an April 1 visit

The top quarterback in the 2026 class has set another visit to Ohio State. Five-star Tennessee prospect Jared Curtis told 247Sports he plans on visiting Columbus on April 1, in a rescheduling of his visit that was supposed to occur in January.

Curtis will get to meet new Ohio State offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and continue to develop his relationship with Ryan Day. He last visited Ohio State on Nov. 11 for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan State last season.
