Ohio State has added a massive visitor to an already big recruiting weekend.

Per 247Sports, five-star North Carolina offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. will be in Columbus on Saturday. It will be his first visit to Ohio State since he attended the Buckeyes’ spring game last April.

The North Carolina prospect will attend OSU’s practice on Saturday, which happens to be Student Appreciation Day, where students can attend the Buckeyes’ practice and create one of the more lively atmospheres of the spring. This weekend’s trip is his second visit to Columbus in total.

The unofficial visit comes on the heels of Sanders announcing he’d take an official visit to OSU on June 21.

"They're known for making bookend tackles and developing them to be first-round draft picks. I enjoy talking to (offensive line) coach (Justin) Frye and building the relationship with that coaching staff,” Sanders told 247Sports. “Out of all the schools I'm looking at, I've spent the least amount of time there. I look forward to getting up there and spending more time with them. I really enjoy them and everything they stand for as a program."

Sanders is considered the No. 2 prospect and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2025 cycle, per 247Sports’ composite rankings, and remains at the top of the Buckeyes’ wish list. Ohio State commits Tavien St. Clair and Carter Lowe are also expected to be in Columbus this weekend and will surely make their best attempt at peer recruiting Sanders to join them at OSU.

Sanders’ other suitors include Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound prospect is expected to take an official visit to each of his six finalists.

Landon Rink sets commitment date for April 3

One of Ohio State’s defensive tackle targets in the 2025 class is ready to make a decision. Four-star Texas prospect Landon Rink has set a decision date for April 3 and is down to three teams: Ohio State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.

Rink visited OSU earlier this month and scheduled an official visit for May 31. But that visit may never happen, as Rink’s likeliest choice next week is Texas A&M. Should that happen, OSU is still in a good position with a few other top defensive tackle prospects, including Trajen Odom and Maxwell Roy, among others.

Phillip Bell, Kole Briehler schedule official visits

Two more Ohio State targets in the 2025 class have locked in official visits to OSU this summer.

Four-star California wide receiver Phillip Bell will make his trip to OSU on June 14. He’s expected to visit Ohio State this weekend as well. Bell has also scheduled official visits with Washington, Penn State, Tennessee and USC.

Just a week after getting an offer from the Buckeyes, three-star defensive lineman Kole Briehler has already scheduled another visit to Columbus. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound prospect will take his trip to OSU on June 14 and has also scheduled officials to Stanford and Oklahoma.

Nathaniel Marshall puts OSU in top 12

One of the top defensive linemen in the 2025 class has narrowed down his recruitment.

Four-star Illinois prospect Nathaniel Marshall released a top 12 on Monday consisting of Ohio State, Illinois, Alabama, Texas, Miami, Oregon, Michigan, Penn State, USC, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Marshall is considered the 30th overall prospect and the third-best defensive tackle in the 2025 class. OSU is likely a long shot for Marshall at this point, but that could change if he schedules a visit to Columbus sometime this spring or summer.
