Ohio State’s first recruiting camp of the summer was a productive one.

Ohio State offered seven new prospects after the camp, all coming from the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes. Six of the seven offers were given either to a defensive back or a wide receiver, so we’ll start with the defensive backs first.

The most highly-touted prospect in attendance at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Wednesday was five-star 2026 Mississippi safety Bralan Womack, who impressed Tim Walton and Matt Guerrieri with a terrific performance in individual drills and one-on-ones.

Womack is considered the No. 21 prospect and the No. 3 safety in the 2026 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s picked up 14 Division I offers, including Notre Dame (which he just visited this week), Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas A&M. After briefly speaking with Womack’s father, BJ, I’m definitely under the impression Ohio State could be a big player in this recruitment.

Four-star Ohio 2026 cornerback Victor Singleton was one of the more impressive players I saw at the Under Armour Next Camp in Canton in May. Singleton camped in Columbus Wednesday and he didn’t disappoint. The Central Catholic (Toledo) standout earned an offer from OSU by turning in a strong workout.

Singleton is considered the No. 144 prospect and the No. 10 cornerback in the 2026 class. He’s earned 14 Division I offers, including Indiana, Kentucky, Mizzou, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Four-star in-state 2026 cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon has consistently visited campus over the past year. The Avon High School product put together a strong workout at camp and came away with the offer he’s coveted for a long time. Ranked the No. 196 player in 2026, Weatherspoon has nine Division I offers, including Michigan, Akron, Cincinnati, Miami (OH), Marshall, Penn State, Syracuse and Toledo.

Pennsylvania cornerback Larry Moon III became Walton’s second cornerback offer in the 2027 class after showcasing a great combination of instincts and athleticism in his workout Wednesday. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect already holds nearly 25 Division I offers, including Kansas, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, USC and Wisconsin.

Three-star 2026 Indiana wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford outplayed his recruiting ranking on Wednesday and even split a pair of reps against Womack. Following the camp, Guilford picked up an offer from the Buckeyes.

The Fort Wayne resident is the No. 477 prospect and the No. 72 wide receiver in the 2026 class and has earned four offers, the other three being Miami, Toledo and Ball State. He trains with receiver coach Dre Muhammad, who also worked with OSU freshman wide receiver Mylan Graham, a fellow Fort Wayne native.

Ohio 2027 receiver Jamier Brown turned plenty of heads with his speed and performance in one-on-ones. He became the first in-state player the Buckeyes have offered in his class. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect already has 16 offers, including Cincinnati, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Indiana, Nebraska and Purdue. Brown had visited OSU in the winter and spoken with Hartline a few times and picking up the offer from the school he grew up rooting for was a surreal moment for the Dayton resident.

“It felt great, it was exciting,” Brown told Eleven Warriors of receiving the offer. “It’s all I thought about since I woke up. Especially since I’ve been an Ohio State fan my whole life. I think I had great body language, especially after messing up, coach Hartline told me to just keep going out there. I had good route running and have the speed. (OSU) is probably one of the top schools (in my recruitment right now).”

Georgia 2026 tight end Jude Cascone earned his third Division I offer Wednesday by impressing Keenan Bailey with his athleticism and pass-catching skills, adding Ohio State to an offer sheet that also includes Georgia and Miami (Ohio). The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect is the sixth tight end to receive an OSU offer in the 2026 cycle.

Also of note, four-star 2026 Georgia linebacker Anthony Davis returned to campus to get some work in with James Laurinaitis. Davis already had an OSU offer, but felt it would be beneficial to his game to learn from Laurinaitis and the rest of the Buckeyes’ staff.

“I learned a lot about hand placement and how to open up on breaks more,” Davis told Eleven Warriors. “It was really good working with coach Laurinaitis, his energy is always there. It was great to work out with him.”

Other notes

  • OSU offensive tackle commit Carter Lowe stopped by Wednesday’s camp to get some work in, but stopped early after slightly tweaking his hamstring. Lowe told Eleven Warriors he’s feeling at home with the Buckeyes and has tried to help peer recruit Jayvon McFadden, David Sanders Jr. and a few other offensive linemen to Ohio State.
  • A pair of 2025 three-star Ohio offensive linemen, Jake Cook and Nolan Davenport, looked solid at Wednesday’s camp, Cook in particular. Four-star 2026 offensive tackle Adam Guthrie also stood out from that position group.
  • Four-star 2026 Texas defensive lineman Tiki Hola was one of the more interesting defensive line prospects camping at Ohio State. Hola, a top-175 prospect, didn’t get offered Wednesday but could still be evaluated by Johnson in the future.

"It was actually my first time out here at Ohio State," Hola told Eleven Warriors. "I got to meet Coach (LaAllan) Clark and Coach (Larry) Johnson, two good coaches. I got to learn some things from them, add some things to my bag."

  • Four-star Ohio 2025 cornerback Dawayne Galloway was impressive and didn’t lose a single rep that I saw. He didn’t get an offer, but that’s probably more to do with OSU already having commitments from the No. 1 and No. 2 cornerbacks in the 2025 class and its continued pursuit of five-star prospect Dorian Brew. His athleticism is off the charts and while he’s a little raw at the position, I think he’s definitely an Ohio State-caliber player from what I saw today. If he doesn’t end up in Columbus, though, someone is going to get a damn good player.
  • Another player I continue to like is three-star 2025 wide receiver Preston Bowman. He’s been a frequent visitor to campus over the past year and looked impressive on Wednesday.
  • Carlos Locklyn offered three-star 2025 Ohio running back Nino Hill as a preferred walk-on Wednesday.
