Tavien St. Clair is off to a strong start at the Elite 11.

The Ohio State quarterback commit sits in first place in the Elite 11 standings through the first day of competition at the nation’s premier competition for high school quarterbacks, which kicked off Tuesday in Los Angeles.

St. Clair drew rave reviews for his performance on opening night as he demonstrated his arm strength and accuracy through a variety of passing drills.

The Bellefontaine product punched his ticket to the Elite 11 Finals with a standout performance at the Elite 11 Columbus Regional in April. He followed that up with several impressive camp performances at Ohio State earlier this month in which he continued to demonstrate his growth into one of the best quarterbacks in the country.

Currently ranked as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 14 overall prospect in the 2025 class, St. Clair is looking to show he’s the best quarterback in his class with his performance at Elite 11.

“To have a chance to prove yourself to be the best in the country is an opportunity that you should take every single time you get that chance,” St. Clair said last week. “So like I’ve said before, I've dreamed about being in the Elite 11 final for a long time. And I know that the best quarterbacks in the country are gonna be there, so it's just a way to showcase your talents against the best.”

If St. Clair remains atop the standings for the next two days, he would become the fourth future Ohio State quarterback to earn Elite 11 MVP honors since 2017, joining Justin Fields, C.J. Stroud and Julian Sayin.
