Another Ohio State offensive line target for the 2025 class is off the board.

Four-star 2025 Georgia offensive tackle Josh Petty committed to Georgia Tech on Monday, which had been expected for the past week. Ohio State and Florida State were other strong contenders for Petty, who opted to stay close to home.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Petty took an official visit to OSU on June 14 and it didn't seem like the Buckeyes had much momentum in his recruitment until the last two months, but a late push wasn't enough to hold off the Yellow Jackets.

Carter Lowe and Jake Cook remain the only offensive linemen committed to OSU for the 2025 cycle. With Petty now off the board, all eyes turn to David Sanders Jr.

Sanders, the No. 1-ranked offensive tackle in the 2025 class, is scheduled to commit at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and will likely choose either Tennessee or Ohio State. Less than a week before the announcement, the Vols have the most momentum nationally, but the Buckeyes still feel like they have a chance in the recruitment.

If OSU doesn't land Sanders, it will have to go back to the drawing board for recruiting offensive linemen in the 2025 cycle as most of the other offensive linemen it has offered in the class have now committed elsewhere.
