Larry Johnson has offered a promising defensive end prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
Four-star Washington, D.C. standout Carter Meadows earned his OSU offer on Monday, becoming the 10th defensive end to earn an offer from the Buckeyes in that cycle.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Meadows is considered the No. 214 prospect and the No. 16 edge player in the 2026 class. He’s picked up more than 20 Division I offers, including Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Chaz Coleman, Cincere Johnson visiting OSU this weekend
Two intriguing Ohio prospects seeking Ohio State offers will make their way to Columbus this weekend for the Marshall game.
Chaz Coleman, a three-star 2025 defensive end from Warren G. Harding, will be at OSU. He has garnered a lot of interest of late on the recruiting trail, including from schools like Michigan State, Illinois, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Purdue. Coleman is being recruited as a tight end and a defensive end depending on the school, and the Buckeyes lean toward him playing on defense for now. It wouldn’t be surprising if Coleman left his visit with an offer in hand.
Four-star 2026 Ohio linebacker Cincere Johnson will also be in attendance for the game against Marshall. Johnson, a Glenville standout, has visited OSU multiple times and is considered a top-120 prospect in his class, though he hasn’t picked up an offer from the Buckeyes just yet.

Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng puts the Buckeyes in his top six
One of the top linebacker prospects in the 2025 class has narrowed down his recruitment to six schools. Four-star standout Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng released a top six school list on Monday consisting of Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, Florida and Texas.

Owusu-Boateng took an official visit to Columbus on June 14 and enjoyed his time at OSU.
“This is one school that I can say confidently has the best traditions in college football,” Owusu-Boateng told Eleven Warriors after his visit. “Coach Laurinaitis was telling me that all All-Americans get their own tree, and I thought that was really cool because nobody else does that. There’s a lot of other great traditions as well. I also loved how close everybody is. You don’t see any player that’s divided, everybody’s close and everybody is family. I loved that aspect.”
Owusu-Boateng is likely a Notre Dame lean and has visits scheduled for USC and Texas this fall. Michigan is also still in the race for Owusu-Boateng. While OSU still has a puncher’s chance, it’s likely he heads elsewhere at this point.
Jerome Myles commits to USC
A former Ohio State wide receiver target has made his college decision. Four-star Utah prospect Jerome Myles committed to USC on Wednesday, picking the Trojans over Texas A&M and Utah. Myles had been trending toward USC, so the move isn’t a huge surprise in the recruiting industry.

OSU has four wide receivers committed for the 2025 cycle and could be content with that number, though the Buckeyes would likely make room for Ohio prospect Preston Bowman if he wanted to flip from Kentucky.
