Ohio State concludes its non-conference slate with a home matchup against Marshall at noon on Saturday and while it may not be the most thrilling matchup on paper, the Buckeyes are still expecting a handful of intriguing recruiting visitors to make their way to Columbus for the game.
2025 commits Nate Roberts and Jarquez Carter will make their way back to campus on Saturday and it will be the first game visit of the season for each. The trip is especially important for Carter, who continues to be pursued by other schools, most notably by Florida, the team he grew up rooting for. His visit will be a chance for him and Larry Johnson to reconnect and it may lessen some worries about a potential flip, though the Gators’ on-field turmoil probably doesn’t hurt in that regard either.
Ohio three-star 2025 defensive end Chaz Coleman has been a big riser in the national recruiting scene as of late, as he’s received interest from the likes of Ole Miss, Penn State, Michigan State, Kentucky and Illinois, among others. He’ll be in attendance for the Marshall game and if everything goes well, he could pick up an offer from Johnson.
Another in-state prospect on offer watch is four-star linebacker Cincere Johnson. Johnson has been a frequent visitor to OSU and is a top-120 prospect in the 2026 class, and he’s been developing a strong rapport with James Laurinaitis.

Four-star Ohio 2026 cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon is taking his second gameday visit to Columbus this season and the Buckeyes are also expected to host three-star 2026 New York wideout Messiah Hampton on an unofficial visit.
Ohio State already has a pair of brothers on its team in the Armstrong twins and the Buckeyes are hosting another brotherly duo of highly touted prospects on campus against Marshall. New Jersey three-star 2026 prospect Amari Sabb will be in attendance with his brother, four-star 2027 standout Xavier Sabb. The Sabb brothers both play wide receiver and defensive back for their high school and are the younger brothers of former Michigan and current Alabama safety Keon Sabb.
Local linebacker CJ Sanna will also be at Ohio Stadium for Saturday’s game. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker from Olentangy High School has offers from Iowa State, Liberty and Toledo and could be an interesting prospect in the 2026 cycle.
Five-star 2027 wideout/defensive back and Michigan legacy Dakota Guerrant will also be back on campus for the third time in a few months. Guerrant earned an offer from Brian Hartline and Tim Walton after working out with OSU at a recruiting camp in June. Guerrant is being recruited as both a wide receiver and a defensive back by Ohio State.
