The No. 1 running back in the 2026 class has scheduled a gameday visit to Ohio State.
Five-star Virginia tailback Savion Hiter told 247Sports this week he’ll visit Columbus in November for the Buckeyes’ matchup against Purdue.
Hiter released a top five last month consisting of OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee and Georgia, so the Buckeyes are right in the thick of things for the No. 29 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Hiter has locked in five gameday visits to schools this fall, one of which isn’t on his top five. The 5-foot-11, 182-pound prospect will be at Virginia Tech on Saturday for the Hokies’ matchup against Rutgers, and he’ll also visit Tennessee, Michigan and Penn State this fall.
Hiter’s trip to OSU will be his first time on campus since last October when he visited Ohio Stadium for a game and picked up an offer from the Buckeyes.

In Hiter’s sophomore season, he ran for 1,187 yards and 11 touchdowns on 150 carries while catching five passes for 91 yards.
Victor Singleton puts OSU in his top 10
A top-80 prospect in the 2026 recruiting class has narrowed down his recruitment to 10 schools.
Four-star Ohio cornerback Victor Singleton released a top 10 on Friday consisting of Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Mizzou, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Penn State, Texas A&M, Oregon and Nebraska.

Singleton is considered the No. 76 prospect and the No. 7 cornerback in the 2026 cycle per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s visited Columbus frequently as of late, picking up his Buckeyes offer at a recruiting camp in June and then returning to campus for a gameday visit during OSU’s season opener against Akron on Aug. 31.
Singleton grew up an Ohio State fan and has developed a strong relationship with Tim Walton, so expect the Buckeyes to be a major player for the Toledo Central Catholic product.
In his sophomore year, Singleton recorded four interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), 15 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss.
Devin Sanchez reaffirms commitment with OSU
In the modern era of recruiting, commitments can sometimes be the furthest thing from set in stone, as prospects frequently visit other schools and continue to let the process play out even after giving a verbal.
It hasn’t been that way with Ohio State five-star cornerback commit Devin Sanchez. Sanchez, who committed to the Buckeyes in January, announced in April he will be locking his recruitment down and not take any other visits to other programs, and he’s been true to his word. He reaffirmed that message on Friday.
Dont forget this!!!! locked in https://t.co/C8GQfZW7mS

Sanchez, the No. 1 ranked cornerback in the class, has also been one of the most vocal peer recruiters the Buckeyes have in their 2025 cycle, along with five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair. St. Clair, like Sanchez, has also had a drama-free recruitment and has not taken visits to other schools since giving his verbal to OSU.
Recruiting visitors list ICYMI
Earlier Friday, we put together an expected visitor’s list for Ohio State’s final non-conference game of the season against Marshall. Though it’s not necessarily a marquee matchup, there are still plenty of intriguing prospects expected to make their way to Columbus this weekend.
Excepted top visitors include Jarquez Carter, Dakota Guerrant, Cincere Johnson and more.
