Ohio State had a productive day both on the field and in recruiting during the Buckeyes’ 49-14 victory over Marshall on Saturday.

Four prospects picked up offers from Ohio State while visiting for the Buckeyes’ third game of the season, and we’ll break down each of them below.

Cincere Johnson

A few moments after Johnson walked out of the tunnel and into Ohio Stadium, the four-star 2026 Ohio linebacker was face-to-face with linebackers coach James Laurinaitis. After a short embrace, Laurinaitis offered the Glenville junior.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Johnson is considered the No. 115 player and the No. 8 linebacker in the 2026 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s earned nearly 20 Division I offers, also including Cincinnati, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Purdue, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Johnson had been a frequent visitor to Ohio State within the past year and has now earned his long-awaited offer from his home-state school. While OSU has offered 14 linebackers in total for the 2026 cycle, Johnson is the third in-state linebacker to be offered by the Buckeyes in the class. The other two are Storm Miller and Jakobe Clapper.

In his sophomore season, Johnson recorded 121 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, seven sacks and three forced fumbles. He’s helped Glenville to a 3-2 record so far this season.

Myles McAfee

Brian Hartline offered one of the top wide receivers in the 2027 class on Saturday.

Four-star Washington, D.C. product Myles McAfee became the third wide receiver the Buckeyes have offered in the 2027 cycle.

McAfee is considered the No. 51 prospect and the No. 8 wideout in his recruiting class. He holds nine Division I offers, also including Penn State, Boston College, Charlotte, East Carolina, Indiana, Maryland, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

McAfee only received a small amount of playing time in his freshman season, appearing in three games and catching three passes for 52 yards. He’s taken on a much bigger role in his sophomore campaign at Archbishop Spalding High School (Washington, D.C.).

Amari Sabb

Ohio State also offered a pair of brothers on Saturday. The elder of the two is Amari Sabb, a three-star prospect from New Jersey. Sabb, who plays both wide receiver and defensive back in high school, was offered by Ryan Day.

Sabb is considered the No. 428 prospect in the 2026 class. He’s earned 12 Division I offers, including Alabama, Boston College, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Last season, the 5-foot-9, 155-pound Sabb had 48 carries for 328 yards and five touchdowns and 16 catches for 173 yards and four touchdowns on offense, while racking up nine tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception and a pass deflection on defense.

Xavier Sabb

Four-star 2027 prospect Xavier Sabb may be the younger brother of Amari, but he’s the more highly touted recruit of the two.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Sabb is ranked as the No. 38 prospect overall in the 2027 cycle and plays both wide receiver and defensive back like his brother. He’s picked up 13 Division I offers so far, including Akron, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

As a freshman for Glassboro High School (Glassboro, New Jersey) last year, Sabb recorded 38 catches for 657 yards and five touchdowns while taking five carries for 28 yards and a rushing touchdown on offense. On defense, the younger Sabb racked up 20 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a pass deflection.

The Sabb brothers are the younger brother of Alabama safety Keon Sabb, who spent two years at Michigan before transferring to Alabama this offseason.
