Ohio State demolishes Tennessee, 42-17, and advances to the Rose Bowl to face top-seeded Oregon.
What’s been rumored for months came to fruition on Saturday.
Five-star defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart officially reclassified from the 2026 class to 2025 and plans to sign with a team in December.
At least four teams are in the thick of things for Stewart, including Ohio State, LSU, Oregon and USC. Stewart has set up official visits with each of these programs, starting with the Ducks’ home game against Ohio State on Saturday. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound product will visit Columbus on Nov. 30 for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan.
Stewart, a Louisana native, is now considered the No. 18 prospect and No. 3 defensive lineman in the 2025 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s visited OSU several times, most recently in June to work out with Larry Johnson and graduate assistant defensive line coach LaAllan Clark during a recruiting camp.
“I feel like I could fit perfectly in the defense,” Stewart told Eleven Warriors in June. “With the technique coach Johnson’s teaching, and me being the person I am, my second effort, I want it more than a lot of these kids out here. The majority of these kids out here, majority of these men out here, no disrespect, it's going to be a lot of trying to just block me and compete with me for four quarters. And with coach Johnson's mindset, we'll do great things together.”
Ohio State will have tight competition for Stewart, but the Buckeyes have at least a puncher’s chance in this recruitment.
Adam Guthrie earns an OSU offer
Ohio State handed out two offers to prospects visiting over the weekend for the Iowa game. The first was to a highly touted in-state prospect, four-star offensive tackle Adam Guthrie.
Blessed to say I have been offered another D1 scholarship offer from The Ohio State University after a great conversation with @ryandaytime, @CoachJFrye and @DJRSwework. Go Bucks! pic.twitter.com/bjtLPwb2XI

The 6-foot-7, 285-pound Guthrie is considered the No. 211 prospect and the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2026 cycle per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He holds nearly 40 Division I offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCF, USC, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Guthrie has visited OSU multiple times and should be a realistic option for the 2026 class. OSU has offered several prominent in-state offensive tackles in that cycle, including Sam Greer and Maxwell Riley.
Jerimy Finch Jr. picks up a Buckeyes offer
Larry Johnson handed out OSU’s second offer of the weekend, offering three-star 2026 defensive end Jerimy Finch Jr.
After a great visit I'm excited to recieve an offer to play @OhioStateFB @ryandaytime @R2X_Rushmen1 @mikekirschner1 @cdc372 @CoachCook73 @DBROWN57_ @cspann28 @stutsie06 @LauerFBU @ErikRichardsUSA @SWiltfong_ @GregSmithRivals @TomLoy247 @KyleNeddenriep @Bryan_Ault @AllenTrieu pic.twitter.com/jR3ehkeiWO

Finch is considered the No. 455 prospect and No. 40 defensive lineman in the 2026 cycle. The Indiana prospect has picked up 22 Division I offers, including Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Washington and Wisconsin.
So far this season, Finch has racked up 41 tackles (12 for loss), five sacks, two forced fumbles, three pass deflections and one fumble recovery in six games.
Chris Henry Jr. to miss rest of 2024 season
Ohio State’s lone commit in the 2026 class annouced some unfortunate news over the weekend.
Five-star wideout Chris Henry Jr. will miss the remainder of his junior season with a knee injury but should be fully recovered sometime this spring. Henry plays for California powerhouse Mater Dei and has been committed to Ohio State since July of 2023.

As Henry Jr. embarks on what is hopefully a swift recovery, he remains the No. 1 prospect in the 2026 cycle.
