A top wide receiver in the 2027 class is eyeing another gameday visit to Ohio State this fall.
Four-star Maryland prospect Myles McAfee told Eleven Warriors earlier this month that he plans on visiting Columbus on Nov. 30 for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan on Nov. 30.
“That’ll definitely be a game to watch,” McAfee said. “I feel like Ohio State will win this one, though. I feel like they’re going to dominate.”
McAfee visited Ohio State on Sept. 21 for the Marshall game and earned an offer from Ryan Day during the visit. Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, McAfee is considered the No. 51 prospect and No. 8 wideout in the 2027 cycle.

“It was very humbling,” McAfee said of the offer. “They’re known for putting receivers out into the league. To get the offer this early, I’m very blessed. It was a short conversation, but he just said he liked my film, especially after having three touchdowns against (Ohio Archbishop Hoban in Week 1). That basically put me on the map. He told me to keep up the good work and that they wanted me to get back to OSU and he offered me a scholarship.”
Through eight games of his sophomore season, McAfee has caught 36 passes for 427 yards and six touchdowns.
“I would say I’m an all-around receiver, but more of an outside guy,” McAfee said. “I feel like I can get off press really good but I can play all around.”
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect has nine Division I offers, the others including Penn State, Boston College, Charlotte, East Carolina, Maryland, Indiana, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Ohio State set for massive recruiting weekend
In case you missed it from earlier today, Ohio State is getting set for a critical recruiting weekend for the Nebraska matchup, with a few dozen highly touted prospects expected to be in attendance for the Buckeyes.
Highly touted 2025 prospects Jahkeem Stewart and Damola Ajidahun will be on campus, along with skilled players from the 2026, 2027 and 2028 classes.
Michigan reportedly taking another run at QB Bryce Underwood
Saw this report earlier this week and I’m touching on it briefly considering it could be Michigan’s lone path to breaking out of a slump it finds itself in faster than anticipated. It’s worth monitoring just in case, however unlikely the prospect actually is.
It’s been no secret Michigan’s quarterback play this season has been nothing short of a disaster, so it’s no surprise the Wolverines are reportedly trying to make another run at five-star Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, per Rivals.
Underwood, the No. 1 rated player and quarterback in the 2025 cycle, has been committed to LSU since January but remains a big target for the Wolverines considering their positional need and Underwood’s in-state ties.
Michigan could attempt to point to both J.J. McCarthy’s development in Ann Arbor, which led him to become a first-round pick a year ago, and a near-guaranteed starting spot right away as a method of enticing the 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect.
However, the man primarily responsible for McCarthy’s development (Jim Harbaugh) is long out the door, and Michigan’s current wide receivers leave a lot to be desired. Ultimately, LSU appears a far superior option on paper when factoring in both quarterback development (Jayden Daniels went No. 2 overall and Garrett Nussmeier could be a first-round pick this year), the complement of weapons he’d have at his disposal and the coaching staff.
But, considering Michigan is losing more NFL-caliber talent off its roster and is already staring a likely 6-6 (or worse) season in the face, you probably can’t rule out a potential lucrative NIL/revenue-sharing offer to try and entice Underwood to stay home.
