One of Ohio State’s top offensive tackle targets has locked in an official visit to Ohio State this summer.

Four-star Texas prospect Felix Ojo told On3 he’s set on making an official visit to Columbus this summer and has the Buckeyes in the top two of his recruitment. There isn’t a specific date set yet, but reasonable minds could deduct the other school competing with OSU for his commitment is Texas, considering Ojo is slated to take an official visit with the Longhorns on June 13.

New offensive line coach Tyler Bowen will have to build a strong relationship with Ojo in a limited timeframe, but Ojo has strong relationships with other members of the OSU coaching staff as well, as they’ve made him feel like a priority over the past year. Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Ojo is considered the No. 78 prospect and No. 8 offensive tackle in the 2026 class.

The 6-foot-6, 275-pound tackle earned his offer from OSU last summer following a strong recruiting camp.

“The city of Columbus is actually a beautiful city,” Ojo said in June. “Like, one of the better cities I've been to. Facilities, the facilities are great over here. So far, what I've seen, it's just a great environment.”

Ojo isn’t the only prospect that’s recently finalized an official visit to Ohio State. Three-star North Carolina prospect Keysaun Eleazer announced he’ll be taking a trip to Columbus on June 13. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound prospect will also visit Georgia Tech, Penn State and Virginia Tech this summer.

Eleazer is considered the No. 415 prospect and No. 32 edge player in the 2026 class. He earned his offer from OSU in November. Last season, he recorded 81 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 18 quarterback hurries, an interception, two pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and five forced fumbles.

Damari Simeon, Jamarion Phillips put Ohio State in top 10 schools

Two Ohio State targets in the 2026 class have released their top 10 schools. And it’s probably not surprising that the Buckeyes made the cut in each.

Three-star linebacker Jamarion Phillips put out a top 10 of OSU, Oklahoma, Arizona State, SMU, Baylor, Texas A&M, Illinois, Mizzou, Colorado and Arkansas. The 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker earned his OSU offer last spring and recorded 90 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, four quarterback hurries, an interception, two pass deflections and a forced fumble as a junior.

Meanwhile, recent defensive line offer Damari Simeon released a top 10 of Ohio State, Notre Dame, Duke, Texas A&M, Syracuse, Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, Wisconsin and Texas. Larry Johnson offered the 6-foot-3, 275-pound product on Wednesday. He doesn’t hold a composite ranking as of yet but released a top schools list from 37 Division I offers.

Last season, Simeon recorded 28 tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.

Favour Akih visiting OSU March 17

A top running back prospect in the 2026 class has set a spring visit to Ohio State. Four-star Ohio running back Favour Akih will be at the Buckeyes’ spring practice on March 17, as he and running backs coach Carlos Locklyn continue to develop a strong rapport.

Akih attended OSU’s national championship celebration in January and has appeared on the Buckeyes’ radar of late. Though he currently doesn’t hold an offer, he’s considered the No. 171 prospect and No. 15 running back in the country for the 2026 cycle. The 6-foot, 190-pound Akih had a breakout year as a junior, running for 1,600 yards and 19 touchdowns in just nine games.
