A four-star Ohio State quarterback target in the 2026 class will be headed to Columbus soon.
Texas prospect Bowe Bentley has set up a spring visit to Ohio State for March 19, per On3. Bentley also plans on checking out Oklahoma, LSU, Florida State and Georgia Tech over the next month.
The Buckeyes offered Bentley on Jan. 30 following a breakout junior year. His upcoming visit will be a prime opportunity for Bentley to speak with Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Brian Hartline and build a relationship with each considering Ohio State is relatively new to his recruitment.
Bentley was a Navy All-American Game participant and led his high school team to a 16-0 season and state title last year while scoring 63 total touchdowns with 4,200 total yards. Bentley is a true dual-threat quarterback, especially considering his career started out as a skill player, as he ran for 933 yards in 2024. As a passer, he completed 171 of 245 passes for 3,211 yards with 47 touchdown passes to seven interceptions.
Marky Walbridge earns Ohio State offer
Another offensive line offer, you say? New Ohio State offensive line coach Tyler Bowen keeps expanding his 2026 board in his short tenure with the Buckeyes, as he offered four-star Massachusetts standout Marky Walbridge over the weekend.
WOW! Very excited to have received an offer from the national champions, The Ohio state University @OhioStateFB @ryandaytime @TylerBowen #GoBuckeyes #DevelopedHere pic.twitter.com/aeYy6fkfKA

Walbridge’s 6-foot-6, 270-pound frame is likely better suited to be an offensive tackle at the next level. Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Walbridge is considered the No. 356 prospect and No. 32 offensive tackle in the 2026 cycle.
Walbridge has picked up 25 Division I offers, including Michigan, Boston College, Duke, Kentucky, Liberty, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Joey O’Brien sets up official visit to OSU
A top safety target has set up an official visit to Ohio State. Four-star Pennsylvania product Joey O’Brien will visit Columbus on June 20, the last official visit he’ll take this summer. He’ll also visit Penn State, Clemson, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Oregon.
O’Brien earned his offer from the Buckeyes following a gameday visit in November, an experience that left a strong impression on the 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect.
“Ohio State is impressive,” O’Brien told On3. “I get why they can recruit so well. The game day vibe, the way they develop, the scheme, and the atmosphere are all impressive.”
O’Brien is considered the No. 89 prospect in the 2026 class and has been primarily recruited by Matt Guerrieri. He’s been a two-way player in high school, recording 36 tackles, 13 pass deflections and in interception last season. On offense, he caught 68 passes for 1,029 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Dorian Barney includes Buckeyes in top 12
An Ohio State cornerback target for 2026 has narrowed his recruitment (well, slightly, at least). Four-star Georgia prospect Dorian Barney released a top 12 over the weekend which included Ohio State, Florida State, Texas A&M, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Miami, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Colorado.

Barney visited Columbus last fall for a gameday experience, and it’s unclear whether Ohio State will get Barney on campus this summer for an official visit or not. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect is considered the No. 91 prospect and No. 11 cornerback in the 2026 class.
