The nation’s top linebacker prospect has scheduled a spring visit to Ohio State.
Four-star Florida linebacker Kaden Henderson announced this week he’ll be in Columbus on April 5 for a spring practice and also visit Miami, Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Alabama and USC over the next few weeks.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Henderson is considered the No. 39 overall prospect and No. 1 linebacker in the 2025 class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He earned an offer from OSU in October.

“Ohio State has been on top for a while,” Henderson told 247Sports. “Coach Laurinaitis has done everything I want to accomplish as a football player, so I know it will be great to get coached by him.”
In the past two days, Ohio State has also offered three new prospects on the recruiting trail, two from the 2026 class and the other from the 2027 cycle. We’ll break down each of the new offers below.
Landon Barnes
Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson offered a talented defensive end from Texas on Tuesday. Four-star prospect Landon Barnes is the latest player to pick up an OSU offer in the defensive trenches.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive end is considered the 180th-ranked prospect and the No. 16 edge player in the 2026 class. Barnes has picked up 15 Division I offers, including from the likes of Arizona State, Baylor, Cal, Georgia, Houston, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Texas Tech and UCLA.
He helped lead his team to the state semifinals in his junior season and recorded 43 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, eight quarterback hurries, three pass deflections, a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles.
Camren Hamiel
Ohio State has entered the recruitment of Arizona cornerback Camren Hamiel. Safeties coach Matt Guerrieri offered the four-star Hamiel on Monday, and while he’s listed as a cornerback by many major recruiting services, the fact Guerrieri offered him may be an indicator that OSU sees him as a safety instead.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Hamiel is considered the No. 240 prospect and the No. 21 cornerback in the 2026 class. He holds nearly 30 Division I offers, including Penn State, Arizona State, Alabama, Arizona, BYU, Cal, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington and Wisconsin.
Last year, Hamiel recorded 50 tackles, five tackles for loss, three interceptions, three pass deflections and a blocked field goal. As a sophomore, he racked up 47 tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and two pass breakups.
Richard Wesley
The Buckeyes are officially going after the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

Five-star defensive end Richard Wesley was offered by Johnson on Monday, making him the fourth defensive end the Buckeyes have offered in that cycle. As you could expect, the California product sits as the current top-rated defensive end in the 2027 cycle.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Wesley has already earned 22 Division I offers, including Arizona State, Cal, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, San Diego State, SMU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Washington and Washington State.
Last year, Wesley recorded 44 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, nine sacks, eight quarterback hurries, two pass deflections, a fumble recovery and three forced fumbles.
