It’s been a busy 48 hours for Ohio 2026 running back Favour Akih.
On Monday, the four-star prospect picked up an offer from his hometown Ohio State Buckeyes following a visit to Columbus for a spring practice. On Tuesday, Akih decided he’s seen enough to narrow his recruitment to three teams: Ohio State, USC and Miami.
Akih also set up official visits to each school and will be at OSU June 6-8, USC June 13-15 and Miami June 20-22.

At this rate, we feel it’s going to be difficult for anyone to beat the Buckeyes for Akih, but we’ll see what happens over the next few months. Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Akih is a four-star player considered the No. 205 prospect and No. 15 running back in the 2026 class.
The Delaware product ran for 1,653 yards and 15 touchdowns while catching nine passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games last season.
Gordon Sellars puts Buckeyes in top six, sets commitment date
Four-star North Carolina wide receiver Gordon Sellars also received an offer from the Buckeyes on Monday and, like Akih, narrowed down his recruitment shortly after the fact.
Sellars cut his schools list down to six teams following his visit to Columbus, with Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, South Carolina and North Carolina A&T (yeah, you read it right) making the final group.
Thank you Lord for blessing me with these opportunities! WHERE IS HOME ?? https://t.co/btrb5OXatc

What’s more, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver has also set a decision date and will commit on April 18, so the Buckeyes will have about a month to push for his commitment.
Sellars is considered the No. 203 prospect and No. 33 wide receiver in 2026 and has earned 25 Division I offers. In his junior year, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Sellars caught 50 passes for 975 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.
Two 2026 OTs earn Ohio State offers
Ohio State offered another pair of intriguing offensive tackles in the 2026 class. Three-star Arizona prospect Aaron Thomas earned an offer from Ryan Day following his visit to campus, as the 6-foot-7, 285-pound prospect took in the Buckeyes’ second practice of the spring on Wednesday.

Thomas is considered the No. 546 prospect and the No. 47 offensive tackle in the 2026 class. He’s earned 20 Division I offers, which include Texas A&M, Arkansas, Minnesota, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Cal, Central Michigan, Georgia State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Utah State and Washington State.
Day also offered three-star Florida offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell during his visit to campus Wednesday.
After an AMAZING conversation with @ryandaytime and @TylerBowen, I am EXTREMELY BLESSED and HONORED to Receive an Offer From THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY!! #gobuckeyes pic.twitter.com/N4Z4wIRLjC
— Chancellor Campbell (@ChancellorCamp) March 19, 2025
Campbell is rated the No. 617 prospect and the No. 50 offensive tackle in the 2026 class. He's earned 15 Division I offers, including Penn State, Florida, Miami, Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas A&M, UCF and West Virginia.
We’ll see how high Thomas and Campbell are on the Buckeyes’ offensive line recruiting priority list over the coming months, but both of their recruitments are now worth watching for first-year offensive line coach Tyler Bowen.
Nassir McCoy visiting OSU April 12
An Ohio State safety target in the 2026 class is getting back to campus this spring. Four-star Georgia safety Nassir McCoy confirmed he’ll visit Columbus on April 12 for the Buckeyes’ spring showcase, which will give him plenty of time to connect with Tim Walton and Matt Guerrieri.
McCoy also plans to visit Texas A&M, Miami, Georgia, Auburn and Ole Miss this spring. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect is rated the No. 272 prospect in the 2026 class and expects to make a college decision sometime before the start of his senior year. As of now, Georgia looks like the frontrunner, but anything can happen over the next few months.
