As the regular season nears an end, Ohio State stayed put at No. 6 in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night.
The Buckeyes (10-1, 7-0 Big Ten) rallied past Indiana, 42-27, last weekend and clinched a return to the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis.
In front of them are: Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, Mississippi State, and TCU.
Across the conference, Michigan State checked in at No. 10, Wisconsin at 14th, Minnesota at 18th and Nebraska dropped out of the top 25.
Ohio State, which concludes its regular season against Michigan Saturday at noon in Columbus, will play the winner of a bout between the Badgers and the Gophers in Madison.
The final set of rankings will be released Dec. 7.
