Former Ohio State running back Daniel "Boom" Herron helped guide the Indianapolis Colts to a 26-10 win against the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL Playoffs Sunday afternoon.
Herron, who played for the Buckeyes from 2008-2011, touched the ball 22 times for 141 yards and a touchdown (12 rushes for 56 yards and a touchdown and 10 catches for 85 yards). He did so wearing socks that paid tribute to his alma mater.
He fumbled twice (including this painful one at the hands of former Michigan State Spartan Darqueze Dennard), but it wasn't enough to overshadow a big day for the Youngstown, Ohio, native.
Along with rookie teammate and former Ohio State tackle Jack Mewhort, the Colts will play Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos next week.
