Yesterday, Ezekiel Elliott turned some heads when the St. Louis native tweeted his intentions to wear a Cardinals hat to tonight's Pirates-Reds game, at which Urban Meyer and select footballers will be honored.
But there's one 64-year-old Cincinnatian who can breathe easier, because it looks like the Teflon Wizard made a game-time decision to not attend:
I'm not going to the game because I have academic obligations not because of people giving me a hard time about a cardinals hat.

I do play school

Believe me, I would have wore the cardinals hat anyway.

Well, that's disappointing, but at least it's for (what appears to be) a stats class, and not because of a few idiot fans. As a man who reaped the consequences of blowing off things like a midweek night stats class, I can say without doubt that Ezekiel made the right call.
