Urban Meyer took time last Sunday to privately talk with two of Buckeye Nation's bravest souls.
Ryan Hardy, a high school freshman from Lewis Center, Ohio, is a massive Buckeye fan who has been battling brain cancer for over a decade. Grant Reed, another young Buckeye fan, beat the brain tumor he named Michigan. Like most Ohio State fans, they have some thoughts on the Buckeyes' upcoming QB derby.
Grant Reed, who in 2013 attended a Buckeye team dinner and was personally invited by Brady Hoke to The Game in Ann Arbor, is firmly in Cardale Jones' camp because Cardale rose up from third string.
"But that first and second string are back," Urban reminded him.
Ryan Hardy said he was interested in "the scenario with Braxton going places," but Urban was quick to say Braxton's a Buckeye.
"He better be," Hardy said to laughs in the room. When Urban put him on the spot, Hardy said he's picking Braxton to win the job. "He could score no matter what."
After confirming the duo's final answers, there was only one way to settle the debate: "You two fight it out?" Urban joked.
The event appears to have been orchestrated by Lauren's First and Goal.
