Darron Lee has been down in Arizona training for the NFL Combine, and according to Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, it's been time well spent.
Lee is up to 235 pounds—Ohio State listed him at 228, though that was probably generous—and ready to "light up the track" at next week's combine in Indianpolis.
Zach Smith, Ohio State's wide receivers coach, says Lee could run as low as a 4.40 in the 40-yard dash. He also wants credit for spotting the talent in the former high school quarterback:
235 and 4.4?? Remember who said @DLeeMG8 could play for the Bucks!! They don't want you to play for OSU... #Idid https://t.co/UTcQPG26t7

Luke Fickell is the one commonly credited for convincing Urban Meyer to offer Lee, but it appears Smith may have been the first believer in the former New Albany product:
I remember , I remember You saw it and relayed it to Coach Fick https://t.co/GSc5AbeUO9

The NFL Combine begins on Tuesday, Feb. 23. NFL Network coverage begins the next day. Lee is commonly projected to go in the first or second rounds, but if he runs a 4.4 there's no chance he'll survive the first.
