Ohio State's football team is set for at least one high noon #banger in its 2016 season.
The team's homecoming bout against the now Chris Ash-led Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Oct. 1 is set for a noon kickoff, the school announced Wednesday. The game is Ohio State's Big Ten opener.

The television broadcast for Urban Meyer's first on-field battle against his former defensive coordinator and safeties coach has not yet been determined. It is set to be announced at either the 12-day or six-day window during the season by the Big Ten, according to the press release.
That makes five game times set on the 2016 football slate. The Buckeyes are scheduled for primetime contests against Wisconsin, Penn State, Northwestern and Nebraska on four straight weekends beginning Oct. 15.
Ohio State won the first two matchups in the series between the two teams handily. The Buckeyes defeated Rutgers 49-7 in Piscataway, New Jersey, last season and also 56-17 in the first meeting at Ohio Stadium in 2014.
Ohio State beat Maryland 49-28 last year on homecoming weekend.
