You already know Ezekiel Elliott is the best-selling NFL jersey since the Dallas Cowboys selected him fourth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. Turns out, the league's video game staple (to no surprise) thinks the former Ohio State star is the best of the Buckeye rookies.
Madden NFL 17 released its top-10 rookie players Wednesday and Elliott is second at 80 overall, two points behind Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Jalen Ramsey.
Third overall pick and San Diego Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa is tied with tackle Ronnie Stanley and kicker Robert Aguayo for third, nipping on Elliott's heels with a 79 overall rating.
A noted gamer unafraid to show any mercy regardless his opponent, quarterback Cardale Jones is not in the top-10 but believed his throw power should be 103 in Madden 17. EA SPORTS slotted it at 96, not far off from Jones' prediction.
"They need to re-do that game," Jones said. "I think it's a glitch."
See Elliott, Jones, wide receiver Braxton Miller and a handful of other rookies discuss their ratings in the video below. The game is scheduled for an Aug. 23 release.
