It's been six years since Jim Tressel attended Big Ten Media Days in Chicago. These days, Tressel serves as the president of Youngstown State University, the school at which he cut his teeth as a head coach before coming to Columbus in 2001.
Tressel seems at peace with his decision, and has said numerous times he has no plans or desire to return to coaching. And who can blame him? While a YSU president's salary may not be as lucrative as an Ohio State football coach's, there are less demands.
While Urban Meyer is chasing recruits all over the country and answering to the media in Chicago, Tressel is spending the last days of July in Southern California. Oh, and he has company.
With two of the great ones in SoCal...Ed O'Neill and Mitchell Joseph. Proud of these @youngstownstate alums !! pic.twitter.com/5GfDMBdSp5

Older readers will recognize Youngstown native Ed O'Neill from Married with Children, while younger readers would recognize him from Modern Family.
Mitchell Joseph is less known, but he comes from a long line of Youngstown beverage distributors. He bills his latest creation, West Coast Chill, as a "healthier alternative" to other energy drinks.
Remarkably, Tressel drinks West Coach Chill, though he prefers to mix it with iced tea.
From thejambar.com:
President Jim Tressel admits he is a supporter of West Coast Chill, saying that he prefers mixing the energy drink with iced tea before consuming.
“What I like most about the drink is that it is ours, being that Mitchell is a YSU alumnus. I am proud of him,” Tressel said. “I never drank energy drinks before this. I like that West Coast Chill has a softer taste.”
And that, my friends, is your daily reminder nobody rolls with a subdued swagger like Tressel. Long may he live.
