The good news? Madison should be downright tropical for mid-October with a high of 66º at kickoff of the Ohio State–Wisconsin football game tonight.
The bad news? There's a decent chance of rain, either in the form of scattered showers or scattered thunderstorms.
Most forecasts are calling for a slight chance of showers (40–47%) in the 7:00 p.m. CT hour, with the chance of precipitation rising into the mid-50s in the next two hours.
Ohio State already has quite a bit of experience playing in the rain this year, twice – Tulsa in Ohio Stadium in week two, and on the road at Oklahoma the following week – having games postponed by weather.
Kickoff forecasts:
- The Weather Channel: 65º with a 40% chance of showers; SSW wind at 11 mph
- AccuWeather: 67º with a 47% chance of showers; SSW wind at 12 mph
- Weather Underground: 65º with a 39% chance of showers; SSW wind at 11 mph
The Buckeyes and Badgers get underway at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
