Urban Meyer is having an excellent Sunday.

His daughter gave birth to a son, Troy, which made the Ohio State football coach a grandfather for the first time. A few hours later, the Buckeyes made the 2016 College Football Playoff. Meyer's team is ranked third and set to face No. 2 Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Eve.

When the selection committee included the Buckeyes, Meyer officially became entitled to a $250,000 bonus as stated in his contract. Meyer already received a $50,000 bonus this season after Ohio State won a share of the Big Ten East division.

If the Buckeyes beat the Tigers and make it to the national championship game to face the winner of No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Washington, Meyer is entitled to a $350,000 bonus.

Meyer did not win Big Ten Coach of the Year so he missed out on a $50,000 bonus. If he receives national Coach of the Year honors, he is set to receive a $75,000 bonus.
