Deshaun Watson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to help Clemson cruise past Ohio State, 31-0, in Saturday night's Fiesta Bowl.
The Buckeyes' offense was essentially nonexistent throughout, mustering only 208 yards and nine first downs. It was the first time Ohio State was shutout since 1993 and was also the first shutout in Urban Meyer's head coaching career.
Quarterback J.T. Barrett finished the game 19-for-33 passing for just 127 yards, while H-Back Curtis Samuel was bottled up all night — save for a 64-yard run late in the fourth quarter. He finished with 103 total yards on 14 touches.
Cornerback Gareon Conley and safety Malik Hooker added first-half interceptions for Ohio State in what could amount to their last game in college.
With the win, Clemson advances to the College Football Playoff national championship, where it'll play top-ranked Alabama for the second-consecutive year. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, finish the season 11-2.
