Curtis Samuel came to Ohio State looking to fill what many dubbed the “Percy Harvin role” within Urban Meyer's offense. After scoring the game-winning touchdown against Michigan in the final play of what was eventually his last in Ohio Stadium, it's safe to say all future Buckeye H-Backs will look to fill his shoes.
Samuel, a Brooklyn, New York, native, returned to his hometown last week with dreams of being selected in the 2017 NFL Draft. And when heard his name called by the Carolina Panthers with the 40th overall pick, Big Ten Network's cameras were there to capture the jubilation.

“Just to be here with the people who helped me get to where I'm at, just to share that moment with everybody is just great. Just tremendous. It's a dream come true just to experience this feeling,” Samuel said. “As a young kid, just growing up, imagining being drafted, it's a dream come true. I just gotta keep it going from here.”
Samuel and the Panthers open the 2017 NFL season on Sept. 10 against the San Francisco 49ers.
