Urban Meyer said last week the battle to start at right guard was down to three men: Branden Bowen, Matthew Burrell, and JUCO transfer Malcolm Pridgeon.
That battle is now over, according to Bowen's mother:
Proud Mom! Just received the call that Branden will be starting as the right guard for The Ohio State!! So proud of your hard word! #GoBucks pic.twitter.com/r2ojNV5oR6

Bowen, entering his redshirt sophomore season, signed with Ohio State in 2015 as a three-star offensive tackle prospect out of Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah.
His starting gives Ohio State a massive offensive line:
- Left tackle: Jamarco Jones (6-5, 310 pounds)
- Left guard: Michael Jordan (6-7, 310 pounds)
- Center: Billy Price (6-4, 312 pounds)
- Right guard: Branden Bowen (6-7, 312 pounds)
- Right tackle: Isaiah Prince (6-7, 312 pounds)
That's an average height of 6'6" with average poundage of 311.
