For the third straight season, ESPN's College GameDay is coming to Columbus.
The Buckeyes are set to host Oklahoma on Sept. 9, in what will be Ohio State's fourth-straight game featured on College GameDay dating back to last season (Michigan, Clemson, Indiana and Oklahoma.)
GameDay will set up on “The Oval,” in the heart of the university's campus. GameDay last set up on The Oval prior to the Buckeyes 17-14 loss to Michigan State in 2015.
Ohio State's appearance on College GameDay will be its 39th (despite Ohio State claiming this will be the 40th), and the 16th time the school will have hosted the show, tying the all-time record with Alabama.
The Buckeyes played on the site of three consecutive GameDay appearances in 1996, when they faced Notre Dame, Penn State and Iowa in consecutive weeks, and again in 2002-03, when the ESPN crew was on hand for Michigan (2002), Miami (2003) and Washington (2003).
