What does J.K. Dobbins have to do to impress you all?
Despite stealing the spotlight (and Mike Weber's job) after only three weeks of his college football career, the youngster from La Grange, Texas can't seem to get over the hump. Although he leads the Buckeyes with 149 all-purpose yards-per-game, the most popular kid in Columbus can't seem to get past one opponent - Robert Landers.
Though Dobbins is the only player to be nominated every single week since we established this prestigious prize, the big man has held onto the #1 spot in the Top Play poll by a slim margin. After edging out Parris Cambell's catch-and-run against Indiana by 2% of the vote, the defensive tackle's fumble return edged out fellow lineman Nick Bosa's effort to destroy the entire Oklahoma backfield in one play, but only by a 3% difference.
After a decisive 38-7 win over Army, however, Dobbins has plenty of competition, this time coming from a pair of Buckeye defensive backs (with an assist to punter Drue Chrisman). On to this week's nominees:
1) Denzel Ward Downs A Punt At The 1-Yard Line
2) Erick Smith Stretches Out To Save A Touchdown
3) J.K. Dobbins Jukes The Corner And Races 52 Yards To The End Zone
The Reigning Champ - Robert Landers' Thick-Around-The-Edges-Guy Touchdown
Now it's your turn to vote below for this week's Top Play, which will then face-off against the biggest moments of next week's matchup with the UNLV Runnin' Rebels:
