Week 6 of the AP Poll is here. Ohio State returned to the top ten in the latest rankings after shutting out Rutgers in Piscataway.

Ohio State fell from the top ten of the AP for the first time since early 2014 after subsequent weeks following the Oklahoma loss saw teams leapfrog the Buckeyes in the top ten. This week provided an opportunity for the Buckeyes to return to the top ten after the Trojans lost at Washington State. Washington State is the new AP No. 11 and USC fell to No. 14. The Buckeyes were able to move one spot from No. 11 to No. 10 as a result.

Other movement in the AP top ten was incremental following USC's loss, minus one small intrigue. Washington held at No. 6 and Georgia leapfrogged it two spots to No. 5.
