2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
Studying copious amounts of hours only to underperform on an early morning quiz is a relatable albeit regretful trope among college students.
Such was the case for Ohio State third-string quarterback Cardale Jones on Oct. 5th, 2012—five years ago today.
Jones took to Twitter, again as college kids are wont to do, to voice his frustration in a tweet that would literally become a textbook example of how student-athletes shouldn't use social media.
This would mark an end of an epoch where college football players could get away with bad tweets without it becoming news, as everyone from ESPN to The New York Daily News picked it up.
Jones, for his part, came to lament the Tweet, even going as far to clown himself for it during #TBT in 2015 before wearing a graduation camp embroidered with the tweet's iconic line earlier this year.
Of course, Jones would later prove he came to Ohio State to play some football, too.
