Ohio State's College Football Playoff hopes effectively came to an end on Saturday afternoon, as the Buckeyes were walloped by Iowa, 55-24.
Ohio State played from behind from the opening snap, as redshirt senior quarterback J.T. Barrett threw a pick-six on the first play from scrimmage. Barrett finished the game a respectable 18-of-34 for 208 yards and three touchdowns, but also threw a career-high four interceptions.
The Buckeyes return home next Saturday to face Michigan State in a game that will put the winner in the driver's seat for the Big Ten East Division title. Kickoff is set for noon on FOX.
