Ohio State coach Urban Meyer met with the media again on Wednesday evening, three days before Ohio State's final home game of the season, as the Buckeyes prepare to play Illinois and hold their annual Senior Day festivities.

Meyer fielded multiple questions about his senior class and has effusive praise for his group that is about to play its final game at Ohio Stadium.

"It's a very successful class ... their story's still being written," Meyer said. "This is a wonderful group of guys ... we ask them to jump, and they say 'How high?'"

Other updates from Meyer's meeting with the media:

  • Meyer would not specify who his starting linebackers will be on Saturday, but said Dante Booker is still questionable for Saturday's game.
  • Weber was not full-speed for the first half of the season, Meyer confirmed, but is back to being fully healthy now after battling a hamstring injury early in the season.
  • Joe Burrow is fully healthy. Meyer said it's hard to have a quarterback battle during the season, but Burrow and Dwayne Haskins are both "on call and ready to go."
  • Meyer said the Buckeyes didn't know at this time last week that Jerome Baker and Booker would be unable to play, which is why those injuries were not revealed until Saturday.
  • It will be more difficult for Meyer to game plan next season than it has been the past few seasons, he acknowledged, because he will have a young, inexperienced starting quarterback instead of a veteran in J.T. Barrett.

Check back with Eleven Warriors later this evening for further coverage from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, as offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and several of the upcoming Senior Day honorees, including offensive linemen Billy Price and Jamarco Jones and defensive linemen Jalyn Holmes, Tyquan Lewis and Tracy Sprinkle are scheduled to meet with the media after Meyer's press conference.
